ESC Card Generator (“we”, “our”, or “the service”) is an interactive web platform that allows users to create custom Eurovision result cards, vote in community polls, earn points, and manage personal profiles. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account or use the service, we may collect:
Account data: username, email address, avatar image.
Authentication data: hashed passwords (never stored in plain text).
Usage data: points earned and spent (with a history of every movement), votes submitted, daily reward streak, achievements, paid jury rankings, personal scoreboards you create, and the star ratings you give.
Predictions: the predictions you make (edition, entry, points, odds, result and date), that you confirmed being an adult and accepting the predictions rules, and any break from predictions you choose.
Google sign-in (optional): if you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive your Google account identifier, e-mail address and name. We never receive your Google password.
Visit statistics: we count page views per day and per page, without cookies and without storing who visited.
Technical data: browser type, device type, IP address (server-side logs), operating system.
Cookies: session cookies required for login and account functionality.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, or payment data.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to:
- Create and maintain your account.
- Allow login and secure authentication.
- Display your avatar, points, and profile information.
- Manage your points: daily rewards, vote bar, achievements, paid juries and personal scoreboards.
- Show you, once a simulation is published, how your favourite did and where your votes went.
- Send you the e-mails you need (confirming your address, resetting your password) and, only if you switch it on, news about new simulations and results. You can switch news off any time in Account settings.
- Run predictions: take and pay your predictions, refund them when an entry withdraws and tell you about it (on the site and by e-mail, because it concerns your own points), and respect the break you choose.
- Keep simulations fair (one vote limit per day when a simulation sets it, blocking abusive accounts).
- Improve site performance and stability.
3. Cookies
ESC Card Generator uses essential cookies to maintain your login session and store basic preferences. Disabling cookies may prevent the site from functioning correctly.

3b. Data kept only on your device
Your Festival Tycoon game is saved only in your browser’s local storage. It is never sent to our server, we cannot see it and it is not linked to your account.
4. Third‑Party Services
We may use external services such as analytics providers or CDN networks (e.g., for flag images). These services may collect anonymized technical data.
5. Data Security
We use industry‑standard security practices, including hashed passwords, prepared SQL statements, and server‑side validation. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
We apply the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to every user, wherever you live, and we also respect equivalent laws of other countries (such as the UK GDPR, the Swiss data protection act, Brazil’s LGPD or California’s CCPA). You may have the right to:
- Access the data associated with your account.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Update your email, username, or avatar.
- Withdraw consent for analytics cookies.
- Object to or restrict some uses of your data, and take a copy of it (portability).
If you think we handle your data wrongly, write to us first; you can also complain to the data protection authority of your country (in the EU, the supervisory authority where you live).
You can delete your account at any time from the User Settings page.
7. Account Deletion
When you delete your account, all personal data (username, email, avatar, points, predictions, votes, wheel progress) is permanently removed from our database.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
