Beck

Biography

Ganbatyn Munkhbayar, known artistically as Beck (or Beck Munkhbayar), is a Mongolian singer and musician designated to represent Mongolia at the Eurovision Asia Song Contest 2026.

Career and musical background:
Beck gained broad recognition in Mongolia's music scene after participating in various talent competitions and platforms. Known for his vocal versatility and emotive stage performance, he has established himself as one of the country's most promising emerging soloists with international projection, blending pop, dramatic ballads, and contemporary soundscapes.

National Selection: Mongolia's Chosen One:
During the Mongolian national selection Mongolia's Chosen One, Beck competed with multiple entries. In the final decision—which combined jury scoring, domestic audience votes, and international voting—his song "Light" won first place, while his track "Chamguigeer (Without You)" finished in second place.

Eurovision Asia 2026 Journey:
Shortly after the national selection, "Light" was disqualified for violating the Eurovision Asia novelty rule due to an earlier public release in 2018. Following the contest regulations, the Mongolian delegation adjusted the entry, officializing "Chamguigeer (Without You)" as the nation's representative song. The emotional ballad—combining Mongolian and English lyrics centered on loss and longing—will be performed by Beck at the grand final on November 14, 2026, at the One Bangkok Forum in Thailand.
